Welton WWI Contingent

While sorting through some of my grandparents old photographs found this one. It is labelled Welton WWI Contingent. There are no individual names but I believe the man on the right may be my grandfather or Arthur Kellington, his brother who lived on Beck Bank and who died in 1917.
I no longer live in Welton but my family did, from as far back as I can go, until 1999 when my father died. My grandfather was Alfred William 'Bill' Kellington and he was born in 1880 and raised in the village, where his mother ran a small shop on Cow Gate now demolished. Carol Gilbert

Happy netting!

Pond lovers, please be aware of a few safety rules when you go to a pond

1. Children should always go with an adult, not by themselves.
2. Don’t let children pond dip unsupervised
3. Talk to children to make them aware of possible dangers
4. Remain vigilant. A large proportion of drownings are the result of accidental immersion in ponds due to slips and falls from the bank.
